Habakkuk

We are still waiting.  No news!  A friend shared this scripture with me recently and once again I am challenged about why I worship God.  Do I worship him because of the blessings in my life and because my life is easy or do I worship him simply because he is God?

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
      and there are no grapes on the vines;
   even though the olive crop fails,
      and the fields lie empty and barren;
   even though the flocks die in the fields,
      and the cattle barns are empty,
  yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
      I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
  The Sovereign Lord is my strength!
      He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
      able to tread upon the heights.
Habakkuk 3:17-19

Have a great weekend!

  1. Good stuff! I was doing my walking last night and started to pray. This scripture fits so well my prayer yesterday. I thanked Him this time and didn't ask that our paperwork would hurry up. I know He has planned it and that He is working behind the scenes even when I can't see. I'm learning that though waiting stinks...its the best thing for me:) (HUGS)
